[ARCHIVED] Water Restrictions

STAGE 1 WATER RESTRICTIONS

❗The City of Garden Ridge is currently in Stage 2 water restrictions, which went into effect on August 5, 2022. On August 19, 2022, the Edwards Aquifer Authority (“EAA”) imposed Stage 3 restrictions for all San Antonio area pumpers, including Garden Ridge, requiring a 35% pumping reduction.

❗At that time the City of Garden Ridge delayed Stage 3 water restrictions and continued to closely monitor consumption and pumping levels.

❗In an effort to provide our residents with as much advance notice as possible, the water bills received at the beginning of September contained information about implementing Stage 3 on September 23rd. However, that decision is not taken lightly and we are starting to see a slight decrease in current consumption levels. Therefore, the City of Garden Ridge will NOT enter Stage 3 this month and will remain in Stage 2 until further notice. We appreciate everyone's combined efforts to conserve water!

❗Please continue to keep these restrictions in mind as you consume water. As always, please try to conserve as much water as possible!
